So, let me fully explain my tree. It is the BEST climbing tree on campus and you can easily get a good 15 feet off the ground. It has Internet reception and several good places to sit and even recline and take a nap. I finished the Book of Mormon there yesterday, I met a new friend who gave me a cookie, and met a guy who played his ocarina at the base of my tree.
It is really interesting to sit up there and watch other people. Not in a creeper way, just watching everything; the wind, the people, and even a squirrel that wasn't too keen on me sharing the tree with him (he kept on chirping at me).
Anywho. . . people react very differently to me being up there; some don't see me or don't respond if they do, some look up and smile at me or sometimes wave I smile and wave back, there are a few that laugh-point-make rude comments (yeah not my favorite), and there are those who will stop and talk with me, I have met more people that I never would have met otherwise because of being in the tree.
It is calming, even during the times when a lot of people are going by. I just sit up there, free from the ground, and feeling the wind as the rest of the world spins along without me for a moment. It doesn't last very long but it is completely in the middle and isolated at the same time. I enjoy being in my tree but I always have to jump down and get to class and start rolling moving again with the world.
Life has been very peaceful and good. and I may be weird but I love my tree (I have yet to name it) :
